The Opportunity

This seat is an important part of ARDENT’s field operation. Armed Security Officers protect people, property, and trust through professional presence, clear communication, accurate reporting, sound judgment, and consistent standards.

This role supports a residential and community environment. It requires professionalism, alertness, strong communication, and the ability to remain calm during both routine and tense situations.

A Week in the Life

You may begin the week by reviewing post orders, uniform standards, access procedures, patrol expectations, and site rules.

You may monitor activity, complete foot patrols, assist residents or visitors, communicate with clients, and document concerns.

You may respond to a site issue, remain calm, gather the facts, and escalate the matter through the appropriate channel.

You may enforce property rules while continuing to treat people with professionalism and respect.

You may receive coaching from a supervisor and use that feedback to improve your field performance.

By the end of the week, your reliability and professionalism should help the site feel safer, clearer, and better supported.

ResponsibilitiesAs an Armed Security Officer, you will:

• Maintain a professional armed security presence at assigned posts and client locations.
• Follow post orders, site procedures, property rules, and ARDENT standards consistently.
• Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout the property.
• Support access control, visitor interaction, patrol operations, incident response, and client expectations based on the assignment.
• Observe, report, document, and communicate concerns clearly.
• Remain alert, calm, and prepared during overnight hours.
• Treat clients, residents, visitors, teammates, and members of the public with respect.
• Provide hospitality and customer service in a professional manner.
• Enforce property rules and regulations professionally and consistently.
• Respond appropriately to routine concerns and tense situations.
• Escalate concerns at the appropriate time and provide accurate information.
• Write clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
• Maintain reliable attendance, professional appearance, and strong standards discipline.
• Receive and apply coaching to strengthen field performance.
• Build a strong professional foundation for future growth into Field Supervisor, ERT, or specialized assignments.

RequirementsIf You Have These:

• Clear communication and a professional presence.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and standards discipline.
• Ability to follow post orders and document facts accurately.
• Respectful interaction with clients, residents, visitors, and teammates.
• Ability to provide hospitality and customer service professionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
• Ability to conduct continuous foot patrols of the property.
• Ability to enforce property rules and regulations professionally.
• Coachability and willingness to improve your field performance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Florida Class D Security Officer License.
• Valid Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License.
• Your own firearm that meets company and assignment requirements.
• At least one year of armed security experience or previous military or law enforcement experience.
• Understanding of Florida security officer guidelines, legal responsibilities, and professional boundaries.
• Experience writing clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
• First Aid, BLS, or basic self-defense training is preferred but not required.

If You Have One of These:

• Armed security experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, patrol, access control, or high-visibility security.
• Military or law enforcement experience.
• Public-facing experience that required professionalism, communication, and sound judgment.
• Overnight, independent-post, or foot-patrol experience.
• A strong record of reliable attendance, professional conduct, and following site expectations.
