Job Title: Tire Technician Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing tire quality. This position requires a hands-on approach, ensuring a safe and clean environment while performing various tasks related to tire maintenance and production.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Receive tires at a workable height and perform visual quality assurance.
• Apply patches to tires as needed and use mechanical assistance to paint and stack them.
• Clean off excess rubber from finished tires.
• Use hand tools to envelope tires and add repair information to work orders.
• Load and unload tires in the chamber.
• Organize the warehouse using an RF scanner.
• Stack and palletize finished tires as needed.
• Contribute to keeping the work area clean and organized.

Essential Skills

• General labor and production experience.
• Experience in machine operation and warehouse tasks.
• Familiarity with forklift operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing or production experience is preferred.
• Experience working with tires is advantageous.
• Construction experience is beneficial due to the physical nature of the work.

Work Environment

Work on the 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. Our brand new facility is exceptionally clean for a tire shop, housing a team of 12-15 people in this part of the shop.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
