Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 1845-0715; 36 or 48-hour contracts available; Every other weekend required; No call

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios on a 36-bed unit
• Diverse patient population including diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, CHF, renal failure, surgical recovery, and various cardiac conditions
• Epic EMR system with 24 hours of paid orientation
• Contract lengths through February 27, 2027; Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Respiratory Services, and Physical Therapy
• Float requirements to other Medical-Surgical units and regional campus locations as needed

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line management, chest tube care, and wound care
• Experience with blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and PCA pumps
• Ability to work holidays and weekend shifts as scheduled
• Willingness to float to other units and regional locations as assigned
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
