Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney

Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney Department: Legal Employment Type: Full Time Location: Glendale Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 / year Description he Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in evaluating potential employment claims, engaging with clients, and striving for favorable resolutions before litigation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing and evaluating potential employment intakes and collaborating with senior attorneys on strategy relating to complaint filing decisions. Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is a licensed attorney with a background in employment law who is detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and passionate about representing the rights of employees. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate potential employment intakes to determine whether the qualifications metrics regarding liability and damages and met. Conduct supplemental intake calls with prospective clients as part of a secondary intake process to gather additional facts and documents necessary for drafting complaints and other initiating documents such as PAGA notices. Investigate and gather information relating to legal entities and affiliate companies to ensure that the correct parties are being named in the complaints. Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy relating to complaint filing decisions, including which claims to include, venue, jurisdiction and other related topics. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in California. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in employment law or a related field preferred. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
