Step into a key role delivering impactful occupational therapy services to students across a dynamic school district near Torrington, CT! This contract opportunity provides the chance to support students from Pre-K through grade 12 during a 12-week maternity leave, with a strong possibility of extension. Candidates with an active Connecticut OT license—or COTA licensure—are encouraged to apply.

What you bring:

• Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or COTA licensure (CT DPH, NBCOT certification)
• Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to manage a district-wide caseload
• Prior school-based OT/COTA experience strongly preferred
• Effective collaboration skills to partner with educators and multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable transportation for district-wide travel
• Flexibility and commitment to a maternity leave assignment, with the understanding that extensions are possible but not guaranteed

Your responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students of varying ages and needs across the district
• Evaluate students, create and implement treatment plans, and document progress
• Collaborate with education professionals, families, and administrators
• Support students in meeting individual education goals through direct and consultative therapy
• For COTAs, carry out interventions under the supervision of an OT as required
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
