Registered Nurse (Part-Time)

Responsibilities Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Nursing Department. The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Cross-functional training may be required to learn skills that will allow the license to work seamlessly throughout the facility. Shifts: AM, PM, NOC Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Associates Degrees accepted, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: At least 6 months experience. Experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Valid driver's license preferred. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification, and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures.
