Auto Punch Press Operator - 3rd Shift

Essential Functions- Auto Press Operator Lamination: Auto Press Operators must be able to perform these functions in a manner that does not compromise their safety or the safety of coworkers. The auto press operator must be able to perform these tasks for a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. If an employee is unable to perform these essential functions it is their responsibility to bring this to the attention of their supervisor, manager, or Human Resource Manager. Operators will be trained in all steps of the job.

Stretching exercises will be done at the beginning of every shift.

Supervisor will go over Job Safety Analysis sheets, safety checklist, personal protective equipment (PPE) and instructions on performing daily clean up.

Requirements:

• Understand and follow all ABB safety policies, safety training, and hazard communication requirements; wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds; frequently grip with hands, turn, push, and bend; occasionally reach above shoulder level and pull; walk and/or stand for extended periods and maintain pace with demanding production requirements.
• Possess dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment including electric chain hoists, pneumatic shears, pneumatic wire twisters, electric and manual pallet jacks, and press controls with knobs and buttons; assist in performing press-line equipment set-up and clearing die jams.
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions; read, write, and use a calculator; read and interpret work orders, blueprints, inventory tags, and shipping labels to perform job duties accurately.
• Maintain regular work attendance including arriving on time and remaining at work until the end of scheduled workday; demonstrate reliability and commitment to scheduled work hours.
• Ability to work daily and weekend overtime, including overtime on short notice, to meet production demands and support operational needs.

Hourly pay range: $22.70- $28.59

(Shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift)
