POSITION SUMMARY:

Qualities include but are not limited to: Accurate Reading, Writing, and basic math skills. Safe operation of all equipment including but not limited to forklift and overhead crane.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Safely set up and operate a punch press and other punching, notching, or cutting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job travelers.
• Ability to measure and verify dimensions using a tape measure.
• Ability to calculate decimals and fractions figures.
• Ability to stack completed parts properly on carts and tables.
• Have a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability and responsibility.
• Good attendance.
• Must have the ability to work as a team.
• Organizational skills are a must.
• Ability to ensure proper use of PPE.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be able to bend, twist, push and pull.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate well.
• Prior factory experience in operating punch presses, saws, or other punching/notching equipment is a plus.
