Municipal Sales Representative – Waterworks

Charlotte, NC

We are working with a growing organization in waterworks and underground utility distribution, and are seeking a Municipal Outside Sales Representative to support growth across the Charlotte market. This is a field-facing role focused on working closely with municipalities, utility agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders to drive business across water and infrastructure projects.

Position Overview

The Municipal Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, identifying project opportunities, and helping grow business across the territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with municipalities, contractors, engineers, and utility-related customers

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities tied to public works and underground utility projects

• Support customers with product recommendations, pricing, and follow-up

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure strong customer service and project execution

• Track opportunities and maintain pipeline visibility

• Help expand market presence and customer engagement across the region

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in outside sales, waterworks, utilities, or related infrastructure markets

• Strong understanding of municipal sales or public works environments

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Self-driven with the ability to manage a territory independently

• Comfortable working in a field-based, project-driven sales role

Preferred Experience

• Experience with waterworks or underground utility products

• Background working with contractors, municipalities, or engineers

• Exposure to project-based or specification-driven sales

Compensation & Benefits
