Regional Human Resources Manager

The Regional Human Resources Manager works closely with the Director of Human Resources to provide HR support to the Firm in all areas as outlined below. This position will provide support for four offices and some administrative functions.


Key Responsibilities
• Manage the recruitment of staff employees and paralegals, including collaborating with hiring managers to develop diverse recruitment strategies
• Create position descriptions and job postings for all firm hires
• Prepare offer letters for all staff
• Ensure accuracy & compliance of all paperwork such as USCIC Form I-9; periodically audits I-9 forms
• Manage Paralegals firmwide as well as legal assistants in offices including performance management, time off, remote work, etc.
• Participate in the staff annual performance review processes including evaluation and compensation
• Assist in design, implementation of team-building programs
• Partner with HR Director to review, update, and communicate human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
• Manage communication and notification process for internal set-up
• Manage onboarding for all hires
• Manages the PTO program including annual payouts and rollover
• Responsible for documenting HR procedures and policies and updated policy manuals
• Act as a backup for employee questions relating to open enrollment, remote work, family leave, personal leave, benefits and workers compensation
• Participate in the implementation and coordination of HR department projects
• Conduct market research and internal and external pay analysis
• Manage Mansfield reporting process and on-going administration of the program
• Ensure employee files are compliant, maintain/review/update completed job descriptions
• Maintain and update training records, including participation and completion tracking
• Update employee records/systems with hires, terminations, and changes
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of HRIS
• Coordinate and assist with office and firmwide social events for attorneys and staff
• Produce monthly internal communication, Porter Pulse

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required
• HR Certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources or management experience in a law firm or corporate environment
• Current knowledge of Human Resources practices, techniques and business trends
• Knowledge of federal, state and local labor and regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of Excel and MS Word and an understanding of employee database applications
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
• Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
• Willingness to travel to outside markets
