We are seeking an experienced Folder Gluer Operator to join our Client's Production Team in Loves Park. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining folder gluer equipment used in the production of folding cartons. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.


Essential Job Duties

• Set up, adjust, and operate folder gluer machines producing folding cartons
• Operate and maintain gluing equipment efficiently
• Perform general gluer setups and machine changeovers
• Work with water-based glue applications
• Monitor production quality, output, and productivity
• Inspect equipment and work areas for safety concerns
• Make machine adjustments to coordinate multiple workstations on a single machine
• Read and interpret product specifications and work orders
• Use calipers and tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure product accuracy
• Lead production crew through all aspects of the manufacturing process
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as they arise
• Assist with general production and shop duties as needed
• Previous experience with Straight Line, Auto-Bottom, and 4-Point End Fold Folder Gluers is a plus

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating folder gluer equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Strong focus on quality control and production accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications and work instructions
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use calipers
• Experience with water-based glue systems preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of various paper weights, sizes, types, and colors, including the ability to identify paper conditions that may affect machine performance
• Ability to read and interpret production instructions, work orders, and specifications while maintaining dimensional accuracy
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust, maintain, and optimize folder gluer equipment
• Skill in making machine adjustments using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, and knives
• Experience operating and maintaining complex folder gluing equipment
• Ability to lead a crew and maintain production goals while ensuring quality standards are met
