Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

An Emergency Room Nurse, or ER Nurse, is a highly skilled and trained medical professional who plays a vital role in the emergency department of a hospital. They are responsible for providing immediate and efficient care to patients experiencing life-threatening injuries or illnesses. ER Nurses must have a strong knowledge base in emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma care to ensure the best possible care in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and efficient care to patients in emergencies
• Assess and stabilize patients quickly and accurately
• Decide on the best course of treatment for patients
• Work independently under pressure while maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families during critical times
• Collaborate as part of a healthcare team, including physicians and other nurses

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 3 shifts of 12 hours from 7 AM to 7 PM each week.
