Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments to document client histories from the initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status, developing personalized intervention and recovery plans based on clinical assessments.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities to foster client engagement and growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey and adjust plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate actively with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to formulate comprehensive care strategies.

• Manage referrals to ensure clients receive holistic support, following up diligently on any inpatient treatments and coordinating aftercare services.

• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and navigating related behavioral issues.

• Identify behavioral impediments to recovery, implementing preventative strategies to facilitate healthier outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A demonstrated commitment to best practices as aligned with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
