Restaurant Line Cook

Job Description

The Restaurant Line Cook plays a vital role in a busy kitchen, working within multiple kitchen teams and reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager. This position thrives in a high-volume environment, especially during peak hours, and demands effective teamwork and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate is a team player who embraces a great work environment and communicates well, particularly in predominantly Spanish-speaking settings.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following recipes and standards
Set up and organize stations to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas according to food safety guidelines
Ensure quality control for all dishes before service
Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and consistent meals

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Proficient knife skills
Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Ability to collaborate well within a team
Basic cooking techniques and attention to detail
Ability to follow recipes accurately
Physical stamina to endure long hours on feet
