CNC Machinist/Programmer – 1st Shift, Macomb, MI

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong machining and programming capabilities, a team-focused attitude, and a desire to grow within a high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery
• Utilize WorkNC daily to program and operate equipment
• Input product designs into computer modeling software
• Select and load proper cutting tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues during manufacturing
• Perform in-process and final quality checks
• Train new team members on machine operation procedures
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical models
• Perform rework and verify all measurements prior to machining
• Enter correct feed, speed, and toolpath codes
• Complete routine machine maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company policies, safety rules, and PPE requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1–5 years of CNC machining/programming experience
• WorkNC experience – highly preferred
• Experience with manual machines (drill press, Bridgeport, etc.)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent team player with a great attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• High School Diploma required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to walk up to 1⁄2 mile at a time; stair navigation required
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, crawl, and move parts safely
• Comfortable working around loud, industrial machinery in a production setting

Day Shift: 6:30 AM–4:55 PM

Night Shift: 4:55 PM–3:30 AM
