About the Position

Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 20 weeks (13 weeks also accepted) Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele, including 18 months of recent experience License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. Must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience. Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand. Must also have active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Must provide one reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for. Must work at least every other holiday. Description: The position is for a Med/Surg Tele RN with the potential to float to other units. The role requires the ability to care for a diverse patient population. Shifts will rotate between day and night. Travelers will be expected to work every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be required during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is necessary for continuation. The facility will make efforts to honor traveler's preferred shifts but reserves the right to rotate as needed. All travelers must comply with nicotine-free requirements unless exempt as specified. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required within 12 months of the start date. Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Nurses must not have any license hits. Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required break before returning. Modules and assessments will be conducted as part of the compliance requirements.
