About This Role The Staff Nurse in the Pediatric ICU at Mount Sinai Hospital provides safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients and their families, utilizing nursing theory and research. Highlights Pay: $85.9387/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: Pediatric ICU - MSH Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You’ll Do Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice. Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on the plan of care. Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching, rounding, and planning after hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Perform charge nurse duties as assigned. Document nursing practice accurately in compliance with standards.
