Our community is a short drive to College Station-Texas A&M University, Dallas and Houston.Fairfield Community Guide: Position Summary:Freestone Lake and Golf is one of our new developments and we are growing! We are looking for Cooks responsible for executing precise, high-quality food preparation and presentation in a fast-paced, upscale kitchen environment. This role demands culinary skill, attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency to meet the exacting standards of a fine dining establishment. Experience with brick oven pizza operations is a plus.Qualifications:2+ years of experience in a high-end or fine dining kitchen preferredExperience with brick ovens is preferredCulinary degree or formal training is a plus but not requiredStrong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen tools, and food safetyAbility to follow recipes with consistency and precisionExcellent time management and communication skillsMust be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededServSafe or equivalent certification preferred Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant's recipes, quality standards, and plating guidelinesWork a designated station (e.g., grill, sauté, garde manger, pizza oven, pastry) with accuracy and efficiencyEnsure ingredients and mise en place are fresh, properly stored, and prepped ahead of serviceMaintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all kitchen areasCollaborate with chefs and kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent food delivery during serviceFollow safe food handling procedures and comply with all health and safety regulationsMonitor food inventory and communicate low stock or quality concerns to the Sous Chef or ChefUphold the restaurant's standards for professionalism, appearance, and teamwork Work Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to work all shifts when required during the day, nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for long periods of timeWalking, standing, some lifting up to 25-50 lbsBenefits Summary (eligibility for full-time positions): Our Total Rewards aims to provide a holistic view of the comprehensive rewards and opportunities you receive as part of our commitment to your growth and success.
