Work Environment\n

This position will be remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a collaborative atmosphere with a team of mental health professionals. Our outpatient office provides a supportive framework where therapists can engage in discussions, share strategies, and pursue professional development without geographical limitations. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., enabling a work-life balance that is important for mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, aspirations, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to respond to changes in their condition.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and holistic support for clients.
\n
• Stay current on the latest research and treatment methodologies related to mood disorders to influence positive outcomes.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to foster professional development.

• Advocate for clients’ rights and needs, focusing on reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This role encompasses direct support for individuals as well as group therapy sessions targeting vulnerable populations, including but not limited to, homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. The therapist will play a critical role in helping these clients navigate their challenges, build resilience, and foster recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Display empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and difficulties.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
