About the Role The Risk & Governance Associate will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Global Risk Profile. The initiative unifies risk oversight across AWM’s main business segments and globally regulated entities, establishing a consistent approach to identifying, quantifying and mitigating risks. Responsibilities Assist in designing and populating the firm’s global risk profile for Market, Credit, Liquidity, Operational and Fiduciary risks. Collect and synthesize complex datasets from various business units to create a single source of truth for risk reporting. Support the Program Management Office (PMO) by tracking milestones, managing documentation and ensuring timely delivery of risk workstreams. Develop and maintain risk scoring logic and maintain interactive risk dashboards for senior management. Act as the primary liaison between the Risk Governance team and technical BI teams, drafting detailed Business Requirement Documents and defining data sourcing requirements for automated reporting. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify dashboards accurately reflect intended risk logic and data integrity. Identify efficiencies in risk data collection and reporting across business lines, ensuring alignment with enterprise‑wide standards. Collaborate with Risk leads, Operational Risk coverage teams, Compliance and Operations to validate risk assumptions and refine risk appetite statements. Prepare presentation materials for Risk Committees, Board‑level updates and council meetings; engage senior stakeholders on deep‑dive topics and monitor emerging trends. Eligibility & Skills 1–5 years of experience in risk management, governance or business analysis. Exposure to financial services, operational risk, audit or risk management is a plus. Familiarity with asset and wealth management products, services and regulations (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity, wealth advisory practices). Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to translate complex risk concepts into simple visual requirements for developers and executive summaries. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools. Strong understanding of data structure; experience with SQL, Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Strong project management skills with a proven ability to deliver on project timelines.
