Registered Nurse - Acute Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), Travel assignment in Penn Yan, New York. Start date August 17, 2026 for a 27-week contract in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to acute Med/Surg patients, assessing needs and developing an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and utilize telemetry as indicated for cardiac care.
- Coordinate care delivery across the health care team, participate in rounds, and adjust plans based on patient response.
- Educate patients and families to support self-care after discharge, including lifestyle changes and disease management.
- Maintain infection prevention measures, ensure patient safety, and document care, education, and outcomes accurately.
- Foster a healing environment through effective communication, collaboration, and professional practice.

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Ability to work in a hospital Med/Surg setting with rotating day/night shifts and holiday coverage
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (education aligned with NYS requirements)
