Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, prioritizing acuity and safety
- Perform triage, primary and secondary assessments, and establish care priorities per ED protocols
- Administer medications, manage IV access, and implement invasive and non-invasive treatments as required
- Collaborate with physicians, unit staff, patients, and families; communicate clearly and document care and changes
- Educate patients and families, prepare for procedures, and coordinate discharge planning or post-emergency referrals
- Maintain infection prevention practices, patient safety, and a healing environment throughout the ED stay

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI required)
- Minimum of two years’ Emergency Department acute hospital nursing experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment with a flexible shift schedule, including days, nights, and holidays
- Demonstrated competency in triage, clinical assessment, and critical decision-making for diverse patient populations
