JOB DESCRIPTION EMPLOYER: GastroMed, LLC JOB TITLE: Front Desk SUMMARY: Serves as initial contact for all callers and visitors to the organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Influences patient satisfaction by ensuring patients are greeted upon arrival. Properly registers patients in the system with accurate demographic and insurance information. Ensures that every patient’s insurance is active. Processes patient co-pays. Verifies patients’ insurance prior to the office visit. Schedules patient appointments and informs patients if referrals or authorization are required. Verifies insurance billing address and ensures the correct insurance is chosen in the patient’s chart. Confirms patient’s appointments and sends text messages days prior to the visit. Answers incoming calls using the assigned telephone script in a professional, courteous and timely manner. Assists patients with inquiries or concerns and ensures patient expectations are met. Conducts all activities in a professional, polite, and courteous manner and abides by company policies and procedures. Assists with sorting faxes. Performs any other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Bilingual skills a plus. Professional appearance and demeanor.
