Erie - Machinist InternAllow machining students to gain manufacturing experience while they are completing their Machine Tool Technology degree or certificate program. Interns will complete special project work support, learn to work on advanced equipment and have the opportunity to run a variety of machines providing Graco machines unload.What You Will Do at GracoOperate assigned machines within department.Learn simple setups and troubleshooting while supervised by skilled Graco full-time machinists.Check parts with hard gauging and CMM.Perform periodic quality checks as described in operation layouts.Package, wash, and deburr as described in operation layouts or otherwise directed by full-time Graco Machinist, Engineer, or Supervisor.Keep a clean and organized work area.Responsible for the quality of the parts they produce and follow all necessary inspection requirements.Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support co-workers to operate to department expectations.Focus on safety and follow all safety rules and requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Will Bring to GracoStudents must be enrolled in a Machine Tool Technology programShift is flexible & can be changed to accommodate current courses/schedule.Student must be in good standing with the school if enrolled, maintaining a C average or better.Ability to read blueprints.Comply with all safety rules and requirements.Physical RequirementsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of what employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job (Lifting, dexterity, coordination, mobility, etc.).
