Maintenance Mechanic IThe Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, and assists other members of the Maintenance Department in various machine/building repairs.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and buildingAssists in the repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specificationsOrders supplies and parts as requiredPerforms preventive maintenance as scheduledMaintains records of repair and maintenance activitiesPerforms duties consistent with established safety rules and proceduresMaintains a clean and organized work areaParticipates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetingsIf assigned to Treating Department, performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practicesPrepares various reports as requiredPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsHigh school diplomaMinimum 1 year of experience in machine repair in maintenanceWorking knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and weldingWorking knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulationsDemonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practicesMust be at least 18 years of ageCompensation & Benefit InformationHourly Pay Range: $18-24/hrA discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.Medical insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionDental insuranceVision insuranceBasic and voluntary life insuranceDisability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysStock purchase program with employee discountEducational reimbursementWellness programs and challengesOther supplemental benefitsThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
