Sales & Business Development Assistant ManagerA global company in high-quality, high-value-added card services is seeking Sales & Business Development Assistant Manager to join its Hawaii team.This is a hands-on leadership role where you will actively manage merchant relationships, develop new business opportunities, and support the day-to-day success of the sales team.Rather than managing from behind a desk, you'll spend much of your time visiting merchants, building long-term partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and helping solve business challenges in the field.This position is designed for someone who enjoys leading by example. As you continue to develop your leadership skills, you'll also have the opportunity to grow into a Sales Manager role and lead the department in the future.If you're passionate about relationship-based sales, understand Hawaii's tourism and retail market, and are ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.Location: Honolulu, Hawaii, USAWorking Hours: Mon through Fri 9:00am to 6:00pm (1-hour lunch break)Remote: Hybrid (3 days in the office and visiting merchants, 2 days working remotely)Reports To: Sales & Business Development ManagerKey Responsibilities:Sales & Business DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing merchant partners through regular on-site visitsPropose and implement initiatives to increase card usage among participating merchantsIdentify and develop new merchant partnerships throughout HawaiiPlan and execute promotional campaigns in collaboration with merchant partnersRespond to merchant inquiries regarding payment terminals and coordinate initial troubleshootingWork closely with terminal vendors and internal departments to resolve operational issuesPrepare sales reports and share market insights with managementLeadership & Team SupportProvide day-to-day coaching and support to sales team membersMonitor sales activities and assist the team achieve business goalsIdentify operational challenges and recommend process improvementsCoordinate reporting and communications with the U.S. headquarters in Los AngelesSupport the Sales Manager while preparing for future leadership responsibilitiesQualifications:RequiredStrong English communication skills (written and verbal)Experience in sales, marketing, or business developmentPrevious team leadership or supervisory experienceA hands-on leader who can take the initiative and deliver resultsStrong understanding of Hawaii's business environment, particularly the tourism, hospitality, retail, or restaurant industriesValid U.S. work authorizationPreferredExperience in the credit cards, payments, banking, or financial services industriesEstablished business network within Waikiki or Hawaii's hospitality, retail, or tourism sectorsJapanese language skills are welcome, but not requiredCompensation & Benefits:Starting Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (depending on experience)Annual salary reviewPaid Time Off (PTO)Sick LeaveHMSA PPO Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k)Why This Opportunity?If you've built a successful career in sales and are ready to take the next step into leadership, this opportunity offers the perfect balance of both.This is not a desk-based planning role.
