About the Position

Job Opportunity – Bone Marrow Transplant / Hematology Oncology Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights/combination based on departmental needs); shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed

Highlights:

• Specialized 36-bed Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology Oncology unit with mixed acuity PCU and medical-surgical patients
• Advanced therapies including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
• Patient diagnoses include ALL, AML, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, chronic leukemias, and myeloproliferative disorders
• Epic electronic charting system with GE telemetry monitoring and Alaris pumps
• 72-hour comprehensive orientation program with interdisciplinary support and interpretation services
• Contract includes one pre-approved time off period

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience, with at least 1 year of current inpatient hematology oncology and medical-surgical experience
• Required experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
• BLS certification (current)
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or ONCC Chemotherapy Certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Epic charting experience required
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, central line management, PICC lines, telemetry interpretation, and dysrhythmia recognition
• Experience with port access/management, feeding tube care, and sterile dressing changes
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
