Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting a small group of students in a school setting near Plainfield, IL. This full-time, contract position spans the academic year, starting August 26, 2026, and concluding June 3, 2027. You’ll lead a dedicated instructional classroom working with five students in grades 3rd–4th, guiding their educational and social-emotional growth.

As part of this supportive, collaborative team, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, with your workday running from 8:40AM to 3:25PM. The ideal candidate thrives in a tailored instruction environment and values creating inclusive, adaptive learning experiences. Candidates must have recent school-based experience and possess active licensure and certification for special education in Illinois.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid and current Special Education licensure and certifications in Illinois
• Demonstrated school-based experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Ability to manage and differentiate instruction for a small caseload (five students, grades 3–4)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
• Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success
• Develop engaging lesson plans and classroom activities
• Monitor progress, document goals, and support each student’s unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
