This full-time position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with workdays from 8:40 AM to 3:25 PM, totaling 37.5 hours each week. You'll have the chance to provide focused instruction in a classroom setting with a small caseload of five students in grades 3rd and 4th, ensuring each learner receives the individualized attention they deserve.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active Illinois special education teaching license and certification (required)
• Demonstrated experience in a school-based special education setting
• Strong understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and behavioral strategies
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Effective communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to a dedicated group of 3rd and 4th-grade students in a special education instructional classroom
• Adapt and deliver individualized lesson plans to meet each student's unique learning needs
• Partner with teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Monitor and document student growth and progress toward IEP goals
• Develop a nurturing, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Attend IEP meetings, participate in team planning, and maintain required documentation
