Own the money moving in and out of the business every day. In this role, you will run billing and collections, process vendor payments, and keep cash and the books accurate through month-end close. My client is a facility and energy solutions company looking for a hands-on accountant who enjoys the details and takes ownership of the work. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on time
• Monitor A/R aging and follow up on outstanding balances
• Post customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare vendor payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor daily cash balances, track expected receipts and upcoming payments, and assist with cash flow forecasting
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor records

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience with A/R, A/P, billing, cash management and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
