A well-established, long-serving skilled nursing facility is seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to lead its admissions department. As a large facility offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, we depend on our Director of Admissions to keep census strong and welcome new residents and families with warmth and professionalism. Prior nursing home experience is required for the Director of Admissions position.

The Director of Admissions works closely with hospitals, families, and the interdisciplinary team in a supportive, community-oriented environment where staff and residents know each other by name.

Director of Admissions Duties

• Manage the full admissions process from referral to move-in

• Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners and referral sources

• Conduct facility tours and guide families through admission decisions

• Coordinate with clinical and business office teams on approvals and paperwork

• Monitor and support facility census goals

Director of Admissions Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 per year

• Full-time

• Location: Queens County, NY

Director of Admissions Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Director of Admissions

• Must have experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting
