This role combines hands-on Release of Information (ROI) work with leadership support, training, and team coordination.Key responsibilities include:Providing call support and assisting with ROI-related inquiriesProcessing medical record requests accurately and confidentially in compliance with HIPAAAssisting the Supervisor with inventory management, including Healthsource queue oversight and prioritization of urgent requestsServing as a subject-matter resource for team members on ROI workflows, EMR navigation, SOPs, and best practicesSupporting client and internal escalations with timely follow-up and clear communicationAssisting with training and onboarding of new hires, including mentoring and coachingFacilitating team training sessions and ongoing education to reinforce compliance and quality standardsPerforming data entry, faxing, scanning, and other administrative duties as neededMaintaining professionalism and effective communication with patients, providers, and clinical staffSupporting overall team productivity and quality goalsRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to work on-site daily in Washington, DCWillingness and ability to travel locally on a weekly basis as neededPrior experience in healthcare, medical records, HIM, or Release of Information (ROI) requiredSupervisory or lead experience strongly preferredProficiency with computers, email systems, and standard office equipmentStrong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirementsAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who is:Friendly, professional, and dependablePunctual and consistent — attendance is essentialAdaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environmentA strong verbal and written communicatorConfident navigating multiple systems and workflowsExperienced in leading, mentoring, or supporting a small team (preferred)Knowledgeable in ROI processes and EMR systems (required)Motivated to grow within a healthcare or medical records environmentPay ranges for this job title may differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and other requirements of the role.The estimated base pay range per hour for this role is: $19.85 — $26.15 USD
