Outpatient Psychiatrist

PeaceHealth is seeking an outstanding Psychiatrist to join our collegial team in Longview. This position is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient responsibilities one week in every four. The practice welcomes clinicians who value a collaborative environment and the opportunity to work in a region that balances outdoor recreation with access to larger city amenities.

Work Schedule and Responsibilities

• Primarily outpatient with some inpatient responsibilities (one week in every four).
• 3 weeks out of 4: work a busy 4 days in an outpatient clinic setting with a multidisciplinary team.
• 1 week out of 4: provide inpatient and consult services at the hospital in the morning and work at the outpatient clinic in the afternoon.
• Outpatient services are provided on a separate behavioral health campus 1 mile from the hospital.
• Opportunity to provide integrated behavioral health care following the AIMS model.
• At the hospital, treat both voluntary and involuntary patients ages 18 and older with acute psychiatric and behavioral disturbances requiring the safety of a locked 22‑bed unit, and provide consultation and liaison services throughout the hospital.

Additional Clinical Services

• Opioid detoxification and treatment through a buprenorphine (suboxone) program.
• Esketamine treatments.
• Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).
• Call is one weeknight per week, and one weekend per month.
