Work Environment

The position is stationed onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Manassas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plans in accordance with physicians' referrals.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's specific orthopedic conditions, ensuring individualized care.
• Foster an atmosphere of excellent customer service by actively listening to patients' concerns and providing empathetic support throughout their treatment journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, including participation in team meetings to discuss treatment progress and modifications to care plans.
• Provide education, training, and consultative support to patients and their caregivers, empowering them with the knowledge needed for successful rehabilitation at home.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and techniques effectively to help facilitate recovery and improve patient functions in line with the physician's treatment objectives.
• Achieve and maintain minimum utilization goals to contribute proactively to the operational success of the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse population, including orthopedic rehabilitation patients, and may extend to pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine cases. This variety allows you to apply your skills across different demographics and clinical scenarios, creating a challenging yet rewarding environment to grow and develop your therapeutic expertise.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a licensed physical therapist, particularly in an orthopedic setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as recognized by the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
• Ability to establish meaningful relationships with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• A passion for engaging positively with individuals and contributing to community wellness initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic clinical settings, especially working with post-surgical recovery patients.
• Proficient in implementing various orthopedic treatment protocols and therapies.
• Background in sports medicine or working with athletic populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
