Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working closely with an elementary-aged student in a supportive academic setting. This full-time paraprofessional role offers the chance to make a direct impact through one-on-one support, fostering student growth and success throughout the remainder of the school year. With 32.5 hours per week and an immediate start, you’ll become an integral part of a caring educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting, especially providing one-on-one support
- Familiarity with elementary-aged children and ability to connect positively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers and staff
- Reliability, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to an elementary student, supporting academic, social, and behavioral development
- Follow established educational plans and collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt instruction as needed
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment to promote student engagement and independence
- Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and activities throughout the school day
- Monitor student progress and share observations with the educational team
- Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions
This contract assignment extends through the end of the current school year and is structured to provide stability and consistency for both you and the student.
