Business Analyst

Overview We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a Point-of-Sale (POS) platform focused on end-to-end restaurant operations. This role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and UX teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. The ideal candidate is technically minded, self-driven, and comfortable working directly with developers to understand system integrations and dependencies. Key Responsibilities Requirements & Delivery Break down epics and features into well-defined user stories in partnership with Product and Engineering Ensure requirements are outcome-focused and aligned with user needs Own and manage the team backlog (stories, bugs, tasks, technical debt) Lead backlog refinement and ensure work is prioritized and sequenced effectively Support Agile ceremonies and sprint execution Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams Act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders Identify and remove blockers to keep delivery on track Facilitate discussions with downstream teams Testing & Quality Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Validate completed work to ensure it meets requirements Minimize rework and production defects Release Support Assist with release planning, verification meetings, and feature rollout Support feature flag tracking and documentation Collaborate with technical writers on product documentation Tools & Technologies Jira (Atlassian suite) Confluence Slack Figma Required Skills & Experience Strong Agile/Scrum experience Hands-on experience with backlog management and sprint support Ability to work closely with developers and understand technical systems Solid understanding of APIs and integrations (no coding required) Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Self-starter who can work independently Preferred Experience Exposure to POS or payment processing systems Experience working with both hardware and software environments Familiarity with restaurant technology platforms is a plus Performance Metrics Quality of requirements and documentation Stakeholder satisfaction Reduction in defects and rework Timely delivery of project milestones Education Relevant certification or degree in Business Analysis, Technology, or related field OR equivalent practical experience GCS is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. #J-18808-Ljbffr GCS Recruitment
