Job Summary

The organization is seeking an ICU Burn Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (Burn) care in a hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult burn patients in a dedicated burn unit, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and delivering compassionate patient-centered care within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH; ABLS certification is preferred but not required.
• Education requirements include a minimum of 3 years of experience working in an ICU setting with a focus on burn care is preferred.
• Experience with ICU-level care, burn patient management, NIH certification, CRRT training, hemodynamic monitoring, and proficiency with cardiac rhythms is necessary.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional duties include dressing changes, line insertions, chest tube maintenance, post-op care, and procedures specific to burn care.
• Must comply with facility dress code—navy blue scrub top, navy blue or black scrub pants, and scrub jacket—no T-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts.
• Candidates should have a strong background in ICU nursing, with preferred experience in burn units, and hold current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• The unit fosters a family-like atmosphere with a team of burn surgeons, nurse practitioners, intensivists, and multidisciplinary staff, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
• Interested candidates should be able to float to similar units such as ICU, PCU, CCU, and be prepared to work in a fast-paced, specialized clinical environment.
