IT Product Owner, Pricing Systems (Contract) Charlotte, NC (Remote/Hybrid)

Job Summary:




This role leads end-to-end ownership of a global manufacturer s pricing technology platform within a complex, enterprise-grade IT environment. The Product Owner will drive roadmap strategy, backlog management, and platform governance for critical pricing and quoting solutions partnering closely with business leaders across pricing, deal desk, sales operations, finance, and enterprise applications. Direct experience with Vendavo Deal Manager/Price Manager or comparable CPQ platforms is highly valued. Candidates must be located within roughly one hour of Charlotte, NC, with periodic onsite presence required.

Key Responsibilities:




- Own and execute the technology roadmap for the pricing platform, including new features, enhancements, and integrations.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business demand with technical improvements.
- Oversee demand intake, requirements gathering, and solution prioritization with business stakeholders.
- Partner with pricing, deal desk, sales operations, and finance to optimize pricing processes, governance, and approval workflows.
- Serve as primary IT contact for the pricing platform vendor, managing releases, upgrades, and performance.
- Lead platform testing, release management, and production deployment activities.
- Maintain SOX controls, role-based access, segregation of duties, and audit readiness for pricing systems.
- Govern change management, configuration, and release processes for the platform.
- Translate technical requirements into clear business language for executive and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and integration specialists throughout the development lifecycle.
