Technical Applications Specialist II - ONSITE

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Technical Applications Specialist II to provide expert technical support for histology and advanced staining products. The role involves customer assistance, product training, and troubleshooting, reporting to the Director of Technical Support at the Deer Park, Illinois facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and application support for core histology and advanced staining products via phone and email
- Deliver product training and educational programs to customers, employees, dealers, and sales teams
- Troubleshoot customer issues and maintain high satisfaction by meeting response-time metrics
- Support laboratory projects and application initiatives while driving continuous process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
- HT/HTL (ASCP) or MLT/MT certification with strong pathology and histology background
- Expertise in histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), ISH, and special stains
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer systems
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Research experience in pathology and histology practices preferred
- Core histology experience including grossing, tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning preferred
Compensation: $35.00-$45.00 hourly; eligible for bonus/incentive pay
