Technical Application Specialist, immunoassay/ Clinical Chemistry (San Francisco, CA / Salt Lake City, UT)

Abbott seeks a Technical Application Specialist to support Core Laboratory customers with complex diagnostic instruments and assays. This remote role involves onsite and remote customer training, instrument integration, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance support across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote instrument integration, training, and troubleshooting support to Core Lab customers
• Conduct customer entrance and exit interviews to assess needs, verify expectations, and confirm satisfaction
• Investigate technical problems, diagnose root causes, and document findings in complaint handling systems
• Assist customers with regulatory requirements, validation processes, and customized training programs
• Manage reagent utilization decisions and product replacement options with budget and customer impact considerations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years laboratory environment, field service, or technical support experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 90%
• Medical technology or clinical laboratory science background preferred
• Lab certification (MLS, MLT) preferred
• 5+ years experience with Abbott Diagnostics products preferred

Compensation: $61,300–$122,700 base
