Plant Scheduler

Your Job Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional to join the team as a Plant Scheduler supporting the Kansas City, Missouri location. This role serves as a key link among sales, operations, and supply chain. The Plant Scheduler will support the facility’s needs, from ordering vital supplies to coordinating finished materials, while optimizing production planning in a high-SKU manufacturing environment with multiple production lines. A successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive approach, a desire to learn, and the ability to think outside the box! Our Team You know us already! To learn more about this facility and our Packaging division, please visit: Check out these videos/links to learn more about the Corrugated Business at Georgia‑Pacific: Georgia‑Pacific: How Corrugated Boxes are Made Georgia‑Pacific: Corrugated What You Will Do Scheduling of orders for a corrugated paper machine, finishing equipment, and managing the roll stock inventory Working with customer service to effectively plan to meet customer needs and efficiently maximize the productivity of the operation Managing roll stock which includes ordering, receiving, warehousing, and consuming paper in addition to analyzing usage and utilization trends to ensure the right product mix is available to efficiently meet the needs of our customers Interfacing and working directly with production, customer service, and various other departments within the plant operation Exemplify and advance the PBM® (Principled Based Management) philosophy Manage roll room and off‑site warehouse roll inventory Ability to work on call and weekend basis as needed Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment Previous experience utilizing data to drive strategic decision Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to operate and manage a computer-based production scheduling system What Will Put You Ahead Previous experience with KIWI System, BGO and Orion Managing Hiring Philosophy All Koch companies value diversity of thought, perspectives, aptitudes, experiences, and backgrounds.
