Site Coordinator

Function and Scope Receive and oversee delivery of unitized meals from Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Manage volunteers, drivers, visitors, and, where applicable, paid staff located at the distribution site. Maintain community relations and ongoing communication and linkages with the regional office. Primary Responsibilities and Duties Oversee the receipt, quality, safety, and timely distribution of meals in accordance with MOWCM policies and applicable health and sanitation standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized distribution site and communicate operational issues that may affect site use or meal delivery. Supervise and support volunteers, including orientation, training, scheduling, route coverage, and adherence to MOWCM policies. Maintain accurate volunteer schedules and records and communicate staffing needs, changes, or concerns to the Volunteer Department. Ensure volunteers understand how to identify and report client health, safety, and welfare concerns through the Mobile Meals app. Oversee meal deliveries, address discrepancies, and ensure client materials are distributed appropriately. Provide direction and support to paid staff and drivers assigned to the site. Support volunteer and client recruitment and community outreach efforts. Assist with route coverage and serve as a driver when necessary. Additional Requirements: Maintain positive relationships with site partners and community stakeholders. Participate in staff meetings, special events, and other organizational activities as needed. Uphold MOWCM's mission, values, policies, and procedures and perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge and Skills Strong interpersonal, communication, and volunteer-management skills. Strong organizational, multitasking, and basic computer skills. Ability to work effectively with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and people of diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety practices. ServSafe Certification or willingess to obtain a ServSafe Certification Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional language skills are a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and meet the physical requirements of the position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
