Payroll Specialist Salary: $27/hour Location: Tampa, FL 33610 Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Join a growing organization with consistent, year-round operations Work with a team that values accuracy, accountability, and collaboration Gain exposure to complex union payroll and construction workforce processes Play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time Enjoy a fully onsite environment with direct access to leadership and operations teams Develop expertise in certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union reporting requirements Be part of an industry that delivers high-impact infrastructure and engineering projects Opportunity to contribute beyond payroll through collaboration with HR and accounting teams Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist: Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, and employee data Administer union payroll, fringe benefits, and dues calculations Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll-related audits Collaborate with HR, accounting, and project teams to resolve payroll discrepancies Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist: 2+ years of payroll processing experience Must have union payroll experience Must have construction industry experience Knowledge of certified payroll, prevailing wage, and related compliance requirements preferred Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
