Shift: Monday Friday, rotating OR coverage, full days in clinic and ICU

Hours/Week: 40+ hours

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Licensure/Certifications: Physician Assistant license, NCCPA certification (preferred)

Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU management

Salary Range: $100,588 to $143,769 annually, commensurate with experience

What You'll Do

• Deliver expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including vein harvesting and first assisting in procedures
• Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care with rounding, assessments, and follow-ups
• Participate in clinics twice weekly and see additional patients as needed
• Provide bedside procedures appropriate for cardiac patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, physicians, and nurses
• Interpret lab and diagnostic test results and develop detailed care plans
• Prescribe medications safely and accurately within policy
• Ensure detailed, accurate clinical documentation
• Operate independently under physician oversight with demonstrating sound clinical judgment
• Maintain and enhance skills through ongoing CME and training

What You Need

• Physician Assistant license in Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start
• NCCPA certification
• At least 3 years of experience in cardiac/cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
