Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Youngstown, Ohio area, conveniently located near the Pennsylvania border and southeast of Cleveland. This role runs from September 1st through June 4th, offering a chance to truly impact young lives throughout the academic year.
Enjoy working four days per week onsite, with an additional day remote for added flexibility. Whether you're an experienced SLP-CCC or a Clinical Fellow (CFY), you'll find support and structured supervision within a collaborative school setting. Your input will help shape your caseload, as student needs and your preferences are both considered during assignments.
Preferred background and experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ohio or eligibility for licensure
- Credentials or experience in healthcare, pediatric, or school-based settings strongly valued
- Open to both Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering educational growth and communication skills in children
Role responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students across various levels as determined by the caseload
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other related service professionals
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain accurate records per school requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based support teams
