The Director of Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer reports to the Chief Information Officer & Vice Provost for Information Technology and is a member of the DoIT Leadership Team. DoIT leadership members participate in cross-departmental activities such as the development of division policies, strategic plans and long and short-term goals. The division provides a range of administrative and central technology functions with an annual operating budget of approximately $100 million, a workforce of over 500 employees and students, and a leadership team of 19 members. The Chief Financial Officer leads the division-wide financial planning and budgeting process and ensures that financial management is tied closely to the Division of Information Technology strategic planning and priority setting process. The Chief Financial Officer manages and directs all fiscal, internal systems, and business management functions for the division and leads efforts that support DoIT's business systems. The candidate selected for this position may perform a combination of on-site and remote work subject to an approved flexible work arrangement (FWA), which is reviewed and approved annually. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.

Division of Information Technology, Financial Services DoIT Financial Services provides financial accounting, reporting and analysis for DoIT operations. The team manages billing and reconciliation for campus partners who use critical DoIT services such as data storage, web hosting, application development and user experience design. Financial Services also supports internal DoIT staff with procurement, travel and expense reimbursement. The procurement team processes significant transactions and contracts for the division, operating under delegated authority from central campus. In addition to the CFO, the financial services team currently consists of 16 financial analysts, accountants, procurement specialists, and managers. Compensation:
Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $180,000- $225,000 with final salary based on experience and qualifications. - Determines personnel needs and the personnel resource allocation plan

- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Serves as a divisional representative and subject matter expert to institutional leadership and internal and external stakeholders providing financial direction and information, fostering collaborative relationships across multiple functional areas, and representing the interests of the division
- Serves as a member of the DoIT executive team, leading and supporting university and divisional initiatives
- Participates in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of automated financial information systems and budgets, and disseminates updates and results to leadership when appropriate

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing a team of finance professionals across in-person, hybrid, and remote environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with and applying fund accounting structures, restrictions, and practices unique to public sector organizations, higher education, or government entities.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders such as executive leadership, campus partners, and non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing and completing fiscal year-end close activities including reconciliation and reporting for at least three consecutive fiscal years in a supervisory role.
- Experience using Workday Financials to manage complex institutional data, streamline workflows, or improve financial reporting.
- Proficiency with advanced budget planning and forecasting systems to support strategic, multi-year financial modeling.
- Demonstrated experience working with and applying Federal Uniform Guidance to funding, cost allocation, and rate setting.
