Ludus is a SaaS company that builds digital tools trusted by thousands of organizations of all sizes to power their event ticketing, marketing, fundraising, retail and registration needs.

Ludus is looking for a goal driven, motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. In this role, you will be mainly responsible for executing outreach strategies in order to schedule meetings for potential customers to learn about Ludus platform. In addition, a BDR will aid in market research and data organization. This position will involve close collaboration with our Account Executives, Marketing, Customer Support, and Product teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Sales Outreach:
    • Generate new opportunities through targeted outbound outreach over email, social media, and phone calls.
    • Utilize and master tools that help identify actionable insights as well as improve the efficiency of outreach.
    • Schedule meetings for handoff to an Account Executive (AE).
  • Market Research and Data Management:
    • Import contact data from multiple sources into the CRM system (Hubspot), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Maintain CRM data integrity by removing duplicates, correcting inaccuracies, and updating outdated information.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to align outreach efforts and enhance lead quality.

  • Experience in cold calling, prospecting, or managing customer relationships, even in a "non-sales" role.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve goals.
  • Willing to take initiative and consistently meet or exceed outreach, lead-generation, and pipeline creation targets.
Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable engaging with new people, explaining concepts, and asking insightful questions.
Tech Savvy
  • Comfort with using Google products, CRM systems, outreach tools, and sales software.
  • Quick to pick up new technologies or platforms that can improve productivity.
Curiosity & Industry Knowledge
  • A natural curiosity about learning new industries, products, and the challenges potential clients face.
  • An interest in developing knowledge of the company's offerings and how they can solve customer problems.
BONUS Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with using analysis and AI tools or an understanding of how to interpret sales metrics.
  • Experience working with HubSpot.
  • An interest in the performing arts industry.

Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) - Provided by Blue Cross Blue Shields and Guardian. Ludus covers 90% of the premium of our employees and 50% of all dependents.

401(k) matching - Full match on the first 5% contribution and 50% match on the next 5% of contribution (7.5% contribution match by Ludus if you contribute 10%).

Profit Sharing and Stock Options - We believe in sharing our success and offer annual profit-sharing bonuses during profitable years, along with stock options that give employees a stake in our long-term growth and success.

Personal Wellness - $50 monthly reimbursement that can be used on anything personal wellness related.

Experience Credit - $100 yearly reimbursement toward concert tickets, theatre tickets, etc. to encourage shared experiences.

Role Details
  • Location: Hybrid - Ada, MI (minimum of 2 days in-office required)
  • Hours: Our core Business hours are 9-5 EST with flexibility depending on business need.
  • Salary Range : $52k-$57k plus commission
  • This position reports to: BDR Manager
