Position Information Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator Department: BPAC Business Center Requisition Number: S_260391 Posting Open Date: 05/21/2026 Application Review Date: 06/08/2026 (Please submit all application materials before review date) Posting Close Date: Open Until Filled Description of Work The BPAC Business Center at the University of Nebraska Lincoln supports the College of Arts and Sciences in Human Resources, Finance, and Grant support. The Human Resources Coordinator provides customer‑facing HR support, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with UNL, state, and federal regulations. The primary role is to assist departmental HR needs, executing moderately complex payroll transactions as needed, and delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism. This position reports to general supervision and utilizes sophisticated technology to deliver professional services. Benefits Ample paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and holidays Comprehensive insurance options: medical, dental, vision, and life Employee & dependent scholarship program to pursue higher education Generous retirement plans with a university match Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma plus 3 years of related payroll and/or human resources work experience; equivalent education/experience considered Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines Knowledge of payroll and/or human resources terminology and practices Preferred Qualifications Experience performing payroll and/or human resources tasks in a business setting Experience serving multiple units as part of a service team Experience with SAP or large integrated finance or HR systems Experience with an HRIS, payroll processing, applicant tracking, or similar system Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices Background and Testing Requirements DOT‑approved pre‑employment and random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
