This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong administrative, onboarding, and benefits experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.Schedule & LocationMonday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMOnsite role in Downtown HonoluluParking not providedStart ASAPAnticipated duration: ~3 months (may extend based on business needs)Key Responsibilities Benefits & HR AdministrationServe as primary contact for health and welfare plan administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminationsAssist employees with benefits inquiries and escalate issues as neededCoordinate billing, payment requests, and documentationOnboarding & Pre-EmploymentManage pre-employment processes including background checks and onboarding coordinationPartner with hiring managers and new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding experienceSchedule start dates and orientations and conduct onboarding audits for complianceAdminister employee referral program processesHRIS & ReportingMaintain accurate HRIS records including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminationsTrack recruitment data and assist with weekly reporting and status updatesSupport development and improvement of HR dashboards and reportsPrograms & CommunicationsAssist with employee wellness initiatives and track program outcomesSupport benefits open enrollment, new hire orientation, and internal HR communicationsHelp develop and deliver employee education and training materialsGeneral HR SupportRespond to internal and external HR inquiries in a timely, professional mannerAssist with process improvement, data analysis, and special projectsProvide backup support for leave administration and compliance-related processesEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment lawsMaintain documentation and assist with required reporting and noticesQualifications EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferredExperienceMinimum 2+ years of HR-related experience requiredExperience in benefits administration, HRIS, onboarding/recruiting, or HR operations preferredBachelor’s degree may substitute for required experienceSkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong communication and customer service skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systemsBenefits: Bishop & Company offers its temporary and contract employees attractive, competitive benefits, including paid holidays, paid vacation, health insurance, and matching 401k plan for all those who qualify!Bishop & Company provides recruiting and placement services for client companies and opportunities for job seekers throughout Hawaii.
