Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and identify their needs.
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans that align with clients’ goals, ensuring they receive the most relevant therapeutic approaches.
• Providing individual therapy sessions using evidence-based tactics such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to adults facing various mental health challenges.
• Engaging clients through teletherapy, ensuring they have access to care regardless of geographical location.
• Performing crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring immediate support for clients in distress.
• Participating in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in the mental health field and continuously improve your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult clients, many of whom face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Our diverse client population requires a therapist who can empathize and adapt therapy to fit individual circumstances and cultural contexts, empowering clients to achieve their mental health goals effectively.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trusting relationships with clients.
• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, showing understanding and patience with clients’ experiences.
• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to handle client schedules effectively.
• A clean disciplinary history with no prior actions on record.

Preferred Experience

While previous experience as a mental health therapist is valued, we particularly encourage licensed professionals with a background in telehealth practices and those adept in evidence-based methodologies to apply. Your skill set should include familiarity with digital mental health tools that enhance therapy delivery.

Compensation and Benefits
